Yesterday I went to see the 'Truth about Faeries' exhibition at Sunderland Museum. I love anything whimsical and a bit magical in illustration so this was right up my street. Well worth a visit if you're in the area and like that sort of thing.
Not illustration related, but I managed to fit in a short but very sweet trip to Paris a couple of weeks ago which was lovely. Paris is one of my favourite places and I could have stayed forever.
I love fairy tales. Anyone who knows me will know that Snow White is my favourite :) I did these designs a while ago but have only just got round to uploading them xx
Tomorrow sees the 42nd anniversary of the first Apollo 11 moon landing. The anniversary coincides with the final space shuttle mission of Atlantis which returns on Thursday.
Illustrated using coloured pencils and inks.

I've been reading 'Ballet Shoes' by Noel Streatfeild and felt like doing some dancing illustrations. I've been working a lot with coloured pencils lately and really like the lovely soft feel that they create. Even though it's a long slow process, I always feel like the end result is worth it.
