Happy Birthday Pooh Bear

Winnie the Pooh is 90 years old today! These were some of my favourite books as a child and I once proudly played Pooh Bear in a school play many moons ago :) He's always been a very special little bear. 

I made a quick little sketch using pencils and ink to celebrate.

Happy Birthday Pooh Bear, here's to the next 90! x 

UNICEF Commission

This month I was asked to create an illustration for a Space Lectures event that took place in Pontefract, Yorkshire. The artwork was in celebration of guest speakers from the USA, astronauts Mark and Scott Kelly. As a huge fan of all things space, I was over the moon to be asked to create something. Scott has recently returned from his 'year in space' onboard the International Space Station alongside British astronaut Tim Peake. I wanted to design something that encompassed the Kelly twins and also their huge achievements within the space programme.
Below is my final design that was auctioned at a dinner event prior to the lecture. All proceeds will be donated to UNICEF and I couldn't be more proud to support such an amazing charity.
Commissions like this remind me why I love being an illustrator :) x
